The task
Our task was to develop the name, logo and package design for the non-alcoholic beer mix product which will be sold in 0,5 l cans on the UK market. The overall vibe should give us lighter, fresher and tastier feeling, which matches the beverage features. This drink should catch the eyes of the younger consumers, interested in summer beer refreshment, with low alcohol content and twist of fruit flavor. Therefore, the design should evoke summer, juiciness and fun.
As the logo of this product should not have any association with the mother brand Budweiser Budvar, but rather live on its own, we had more room for graphic exploration. We combined the script and sans serif font which brings playfulness and we made it bold.
It is no secret that the beer mix market is not very developed in UK. People are not yet very familiar with non-alcoholic beers with lemonade. However the typical color for non-alcoholic product range is blue. We combined it with the vibrant yellow, the main color, which is a bold base for Bud Lime logo to stand out. The design is completed with a stylised limes and hops illustration and blue leaves.
The product is about summer, freshness and youth, we reflected that with witty and cheeky design of a can enjoying carefree summer. Blimey!
