Budějovický Budvar became a new partner of the Czech Olympic Committee while continuing its partnership with the Czech Paralympic Committee, reinforcing its long-term role as the Czech national brewery supporting national representation. Rather than focusing on sporting performance, medals, or victory, the brand’s ambition was to communicate the joy of cheering, togetherness, and shared moments, the emotions that the Olympic and Paralympic Games bring not only to athletes, but also to fans at home and abroad.

The Task

The challenge was to translate this message into retail and packaging communication that clearly presents the partnership, preserves the Budweiser Budvar Original identity, and creates a distinctive limited-edition presence on shelf. We developed a bold limited-edition packaging concept designed to work as a communication medium in its own right not merely as a logo carrier. The concept was further extended into retail through a display and in-store activation that amplified its presence at the point of sale. A strong visual composition clearly differentiated the Olympic edition at the point of sale and naturally extended the ATL campaign within a 360° retail framework. The result was a bold limited edition that stood out on the shelf, reinforced Budvar’s role as the Czech national brewery, and brought its Olympic and Paralympic partnership to life in a warm, inclusive and distinctly Budvar way.
