From Plantation to Brand

Asset A

Kofola became one of the few companies in Central Europe to own coffee plantations in Colombia and Panama, creating a unique opportunity to build a coffee brand directly connected to its origin. The ambition was to create a brand that would celebrate the richness of the Latin American landscape, reflect the authenticity of coffee grown at its source, and stand out in the specialty coffee category.

The Task

Working closely with the client and a copywriter, we developed the brand name Tucancitos & Cafeteros, inspired by Latin America's vibrant wildlife and coffee-growing culture. We designed the logo and packaging, translating the lush colours and biodiversity of the region into a distinctive visual identity. The toucan, envisioned by the client from the very beginning, became the central brand symbol, helping to create a memorable and recognisable identity. We also refined the website concept and prepared brand guidelines to ensure a consistent visual language across future digital touchpoints. The result is a distinctive specialty coffee brand that brings together authentic storytelling, vibrant packaging, and a memorable visual identity inspired by Latin American design. Designed as a flexible brand system, it provides a strong foundation for future product extensions and consistent brand communication across packaging and digital channels.
